Pamukkale Travertines (Calcium Terraces): Marvel at the natural formations of limestone, creating stunning terraces with small ponds at multiple levels. Walk on these terraces and feel like you’re walking on clouds. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside Hierapolis, Pamukkale is a unique wonder, sharing similarities with other rare formations worldwide, such as the Mammoth Hot Springs in the USA and Huanglong in China. Hierapolis-Pamukkale earned its World Heritage status in 1988.

Hierapolis Ancient City: Explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, meaning ‘sacred city.’ Ancients believed it was founded by the god Apollo. Hierapolis was renowned for its sacred hot springs, associated with Pluto, the god of the underworld. With a significant Jewish community, the city is also mentioned by Paul in his Letter to the Colossians.

Thermal Water: Experience the thermal waters flowing from the hot springs on the southern slopes of Caldag. Despite rapid heat loss in open channels, the water remains warm enough for year-round bathing in open-air swimming pools on motels and terraces.

Optional Visit to Cleopatra Pool: Indulge in an optional visit to Cleopatra Pool (bring your bathing suits and towels. Tickets can be obtained at the gate of the pool).

After the tour, we’ll be driving back to Kusadasi for an overnight stay

Guided by your expert, you’ll descend into the archaeological wonders, passing iconic landmarks like the Odeon Theater, Celsius Library, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan, and the majestic Great Theater, where St. Paul is believed to have preached to the Ephesians.

After an awe-inspiring exploration, we continue to The House of Virgin Mary. This sacred site, revered by both Christians and Muslims, is officially recognized by the Vatican as the dwelling where the Virgin Mary spent her final days. The serene ambiance invites moments of prayer and meditation.
